Like Aprilia, also the FIAT 508 Colonial Torpedo comes from a production vehicle that is the 508 C version known as Balilla. It was used for the Commanders in Northern Africa. Its strength made it suitable for reconnaissance out of the main road. Differently from the civil version, it was longer with more bridge report, larger tires (6.00×16) and more weight (maximum 1200 kg fully loaded). We can say that this model preceded the off-road vehicle of the Second World War, the Jeep Willis appeared 3 years later. It was in service until 1960.

The instructions have an error and the wheel making phase is painful (literally), I don’t recommend this kit although the back looks promising the front ruins the design. Maybe consider another vehicle from the omaha bricks catalog.
